Acts 10 verses 37
(36) The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
(37) That word, ye know, which was published throughout all judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
(38) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went around doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (KJV)

Retranslation (verse 36-- from the last blog, for continuity only): The divine Principle that God is All and there is none else, and all the conclusions deduced from this Divine Premise, God sent to the children of Israel, the children of Jacob, who fight and obtain victory over their false “selves” and stand face-to-face with God. This divine Principle: God is All, is sent to these children to bring them Divine Logic, a Science of God, to show them the good news of atonement, at-one-ment, Unity with God, and this Science, from beginning to end, from one side to the other,----- piercing completely through the veil beyond matter,-----is shown by and passes to them through the hands of Christ Jesus. This Unity of God and Man is supreme, it rules, in the All.
Retranslation (verse 37 only): Divine Science (The “Word”, the systematic discourse), you understand, this divine narration or pouring forth, is generated for you through the fulfillment of all the sacred rites, the celebration (“worship”) of God, i.e. the desire to know God, and the willingness to sacrifice all human opinions and beliefs to hear Her Voice . . . beginning with the sacred Principle, God is All, and, adding stone upon stone from this sacred foundation, eating only what God gives;.....and, it follows, as a necessary consequence, that you will be baptized, stained forever in the color of light, through knowing only the divine truth (as proclaimed by the Jehovah-favored, the enlightened ones, i.e. ones having been previously stained with the Light).

NOTE on “Galilee”: As you can see below, I spent some time digesting the meaning of this word and its various meanings: circle, roll, rolled together, fountain, round, folded. In the phrase above (Acts 10 verse 37), the Word comes from or begins in Galilee. In a world without time, the timeless Eternal, a beginning is just the way it is. Is the circle, the rolling together, the All? The abode of God? God looking at God and reflecting on What It Is? Mind being Mind? Could the rolling signify all things touching one another? Unity? The divine "Us"?

I was going to post this blog before I left for work this morning. I'm glad I didn't! I heard this passage on a CD while I was driving to my first job. It had so many good words that could be applied to Acts 10 verses 36 and 37. Welling up, mounting, stepping stone and gathering reminded me of the circle idea of Galilee. Stepping stones leading higher, advancing spiritually. The gathering and heaping up of stones, the heaping up or mounting up of waves and fountains. The dissolving or digesting of the self reminded me of eating of the experience of self-immolation. Each time we deny life to (kill) our own opinion (self), we dissolve the old self and, if we pay attention, or digest that experience, we gather spiritual 'fire' from the ashes of that thing sacrificed. The coolest line, IMHO, is the last line: 'Goodness reveals another . . . self . . . rolled up . . , but brought to light by the evolutions of advancing thought, . . .' Another self rolled up. Brought to light (sight) by the evolutions of . . . advancing . . . thought. Awesome. Evolution is a turning word. It's Latin root is volvere, to turn. Turn, turn, turn. Is the circle signifying that you are being turned, or have been turned toward God? Eddy seems to indicate that this evolution is inevitable.
This afternoon, just before I posted this blog, I was reading the root origins of roll again, and I just have to add some clips from the Origins Dictionary entry. As you can see, roll and the Greek word logos, word, have some interesting similarities.
