Retranslation: Those that oppose Christianity conspired to defraud the public, attributing these words to Stephen, the God-crowned: “Jesus, the Christian, this one, will destroy this place,” and “Jesus, the Christian, shall change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”

NOTES:
- Jesus means (literally) “saved by the self-Existent.” I wonder when the word “Christian” was first attributed to Jesus’ followers? Kathleen? We have learned that the Book of Acts was written approximately 90 years after Jesus’ ascension. We also know, from the Greek definition of Nazarene (below), that, at least by 90 A.D., if one was from Nazareth, one was, by implication, a “Christian.”
- What do the words “destroy this place” and “change Moses’ customs” mean? Were they painting Christians as terrorists/rebels against Rome? Was the public’s belief in spiritual power as passing from Aaron’s lineage to the Sanhedrin being tested? Could just anyone hold God’s power? Could I?
- According to the definition of Christian and its roots, such a person was “anointed,”---- contacted, in direct communication---, that meant completely covered in light (oil, inspiration); furnished with everything that must, or needs, or ought to be; became the channel through which the water of Spirit flowed, the means or instrument of Mind, omnipotence; that this one was "lent" as light to others to borrow.
- If this “lending” of light is a correct interpretation of Christ, I wonder if we “repay” this “debt” by becoming Christians (enlightened ones) ourselves. To a people used to getting inspiration from other people, the idea of getting it directly from God would seem odd.
