Acts 7 verse 5


Acts 7:5

And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

And he did not give to him an inheritance in it, not even a foot-breadth. And he promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, there being no child to him.

Retranslation (possession): God did not give to Abraham, the one who loves Her, Jerusalem meaning “mortal belief and knowledge gained from the five corporeal sense,” with its attendant evils, “the pride of power and the power of pride; sensuality; envy; oppression; tyranny.”  NO! NO! Not to set his foundation on!  Rather, God promised Abraham that She would give him Jerusalem meaning “Home! Heaven!” for a possession. She would possess him with Her government, sharing with him his true inheritance, Her Mind, Her Truth, Her world, and he would be possessed of Her law, Her “bread.”  

Retranslation: (seed and child):

. . . The seed, Abraham’s budding remnant (kept over to replant again, and each time more!) represents Abraham’s budding understanding of the depth and power of God’s government. Abraham’s small crop will be watered and tenderly guarded and guided as he is reborn into this new-old world. There is no child in Charraon,----- no issue is possible from this water-less, fountain-less “source,” the mirage called “ego.”

NOTES: 
  1. At the time this was written (approx. 90 A.D), I am assuming an inheritance was land which one possessed. I think we can further assume that the land, which one possessed, was the source of food, safety, etc.,--- everything one needed.
  2. Inheritance = possession = land 
  3. The “promised” land = Jerusalem (Heaven)
  4. Heaven = “The reign of Spirit” and “Government by divine Principle”
  5. “Let this Mind be in me which was also in Christ Jesus,” is a desire to be completely governed by God, -----a state which Eddy defines as “heaven.”
