Acts 7 verse 9

And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt; but God was with him.  (KJV)

And being jealous of Joseph, the patriarchs gave him over into Egypt.     (IB)

Retranslation:  Your ancestors were grieved within themselves at what they supposed was their brother’s superiority; and, feeling discontent within themselves, their ignoble pride led them to hate their brother, who was increasing more and more with God; and they delivered him into confinement; but the Eternal self-Existent accompanied him even into his confinement, and continued to associate with him, and remained near to him.
